QUICK KEYS & PRODUCT SEARCH BAR
OVERVIEW
This guide explains how to quickly locate and add products to a sale using Quick Keys or the Search Bar in Lightspeed (Vend).
Quick Keys are preset shortcuts for common items, while the Search Bar can find any product by name or SKU.
Follow these steps every time to ensure accuracy and consistency across stores.
1. Understanding Quick Keys

Quick Keys are custom buttons set up by management for the most commonly sold products (e.g., Disposables, Juices, Coils).

They’re visible on the Sell Screen grid.

Tap the button once to instantly add that product to the sale.
2. Using Quick Keys

On the Sell Screen, locate the Quick Key panel (usually at the bottom or side of the screen).

Tap the correct product button (category or individual).

Adjust the quantity if needed (tap product in cart → change quantity).

Confirm the correct flavour/variant before processing the sale.
⚠️ If a Quick Key button is missing or incorrect, notify your manager — only managers can update Quick Keys.
3. Using the Product Search Bar

Click or tap the Search Bar at the top of the Sell Screen.

Type either:

Product Name (e.g., “Gold Bar Mango”)

SKU Number (printed on box or price tag)

Select the correct product from the dropdown results.

Confirm the flavour, nicotine strength, and price before adding to sale.
4. Best Practices
✅ Always scan barcodes when available — it’s faster and 100% accurate.
✅ Avoid using partial words unless sure (e.g., searching “bar” might show 50+ items).
✅ If a product doesn’t appear, confirm the SKU with management — it may be new or not yet added.
